The rental process with DelMar EV is straightforward and fully automated through our app. Our golf carts are located on-site and remain disabled with the key in the ignition until rented. Once you complete the rental through the app, the cart is automatically activated and ready to use. When you return the cart and end your rental, it will be disabled again until the next customer rents it. Here’s how to rent:

· Download the DelMar EV app from your app store. Download here: https://onelink.to/ex6r23

· Once installed, create an account in the app and login

· Set the desired pickup and return date/ time. Make sure to do this before selecting a cart.

· Select the type of cart you want (4-seater or 6-seater), and you will see the pricing displayed.

· Tap “Confirm”. Once you tap to confirm, your reservation is created.

· In the app, tap “Drive” then “Start Rental”

· Follow the app’s instructions to take pictures of the cart and sign your rental agreement.

You will be charged for additional time if you do not end the rental through the DelMar EV app. Here’s how to return your cart:

· Return to the original pickup location and plug in the charging cable

· In the app, tap “Drive”, then select “End Rental”

· Follow the app’s instructions to take pictures of the cart and end your rental.

If you don’t see the option to “Start Rental” under the “Drive” section of the app, it may mean your reservation wasn't completed. Close the app (by swiping it up), then reopen it and select your desired date/ time, and cart again. Make sure to tap “Confirm” at the end.

Yes, Alabama state law allows street-legal golf carts (or LSVs) to be driven on roads with a speed limit of 25 MPH or less, as long as they’ve been approved by local authorities. All of our carts are LSVs.

OWA / Tropic Hideaway RV Park: All roads in OWA are approved for golf cart use, except for E Pride Blvd. However, there’s a cart path along E Pride Blvd. that will take you to the approved roads inside the park.

Rental costs vary by location. When you select your cart, the pricing will be displayed. Before confirming your reservation, you'll receive a detailed quote that includes all taxes and fees.

Our golf carts are available at various partner locations, including hotels, resorts, and other businesses. You can see the nearest available carts on the map feature within the app.

Our golf carts are designed to be user-friendly. Simply locate the charging port (near the passenger seat) and connect the charging cable to a standard outlet. We keep a spare charging cable under the seat, or you can use the cable from the main charging station. Be sure the golf cart is turned off while charging, and always unplug the cart before driving off… Yes, it's happened!

Our carts are new and typically problem-free—electric carts are pretty simple! However, if you run into an issue, it's usually because the cart hasn't been charged. Make sure to charge the cart overnight for adequate run time. If the cart still won't go, here are a couple of things to try:

· Double-check the emergency brake. It’s located at your left foot, just like in a car.

· Flip the Drive/Neutral/Reverse switch (on the steering column). If you turn off the cart, make sure to switch to Neutral before putting it back in Drive or Reverse. It’s a safety feature just like in a car, if you leave it in Drive or Reverse, it will not go unless you switch back.

If you have an issue that needs immediate assistance, select “Call Us” in the app. 

Yep! We need the selfie to make sure it’s really you and not someone borrowing your good looks to match the driver’s license.

If you notice any damage to the cart before or after your rental, report it immediately through the app under “Call Us”. This helps us ensure the carts are safe and well-maintained for all users.

Yes, you can cancel your reservation through the DelMar EV app before the rental period begins. 

To extend your rental, open the DelMar EV app, go to “Drive” and choose the option to “EXTEND” near the return date. Additional charges will apply, and you’ll see the updated cost before confirming the extension.

To update your payment method, go to the “Profile” section of the app, then select “My Payment Information.” You can add, remove, or update your preferred payment methods here.

Yes, the minimum age to rent a golf cart is 25 years old. All renters must have a valid driver’s license and agree to the terms of use before renting.

The rental process is fully automated through our app, so there’s no brick-and-mortar store to visit. However, rentals can be picked up between 8am and 8pm Central Time. The app won’t allow reservations outside of that time frame.

No, we don’t. You may see an authorization on your account when the reservation is made, but your card won’t be charged until you return the rental.
